It has the same problem like for example that bejeweled bliz on facebook, both are programmed in flash, and since that flash is sometimes slow a good pc is needed to have ok scrolling - no kidding.

It be partially a browser thing. My work colleague was impressed when he saw me playing it in Google Chrome because it moved a lot more smoothly than his Firefox install, for example.. but, as with all things, your mileage may vary.
